Early Detection of Cervical Cancer:
Pap smears can detect abnormal cervical cells before they become cancerous. Early treatment can prevent cervical cancer altogether.

If cancer is already present, finding it early means it can be treated more effectively.

Helps doctors follow up on infections such as HPV (Human Papillomavirus), which is the most common cause of cervical cancer.
