MARRIED BUT LONELY

It can be very lonely in marriage sometimes. Because of unresolved issues, poor communication etc, you may find yourself together in the same house, even room, but miles apart emotionally.
No friendship, no emotional, physical or spiritual connection. Even preferring going somewhere else or spending time on the phone than a conversation with your spouse. Loneliness can be very painful. You are not roommates, something is not right, seek help.

Marriage used to be a sacred place, respected and revered by many. It was 'feared'. It was a place of honor and faithfulness. But that fear,respect and reverence is no more. The married treat their marriages anyhow. And the unmarried are busy chasing married people. The fear and respect for marriage is gone.

DISRESPECTING YOUR SPOUSE'S PARENTS.

Disrespecting your spouse's family is not only wrong, but it can also create anger and resentment in your home. Why disrespect and talk less of your spouse's parents or siblings? What wrong have they done to you? Is it because they are poor? Or ugly? Or not in your league? Sometimes we are the problem that spark inlaws issues. Learn to respect and tolerate your inlaws. Set proper boundaries. But, by all means try and have a relationship with your inlaws. After all, they gave you a wife, a husband.

Olorato Marriage Counselling Centre -DITSO

Olorato Marriage Counselling Centre is founded by Albert Gaopelo. Gaopelo, who is a Marriage Counselor, is also one of the founding members of Botswana Marriage Counselors’s Association. Apart from Olorato services, he also does voluntary counselling work for Office ya Manyalo at BBS, Gaborone and Tlokweng. He deals with reconciliations and family matters on daily basis. Olorato Marriage Counseling Centre was inspired to existence by a case Rre Gaopelo handled in 2016. The case was already at the High-court. There was no hope. The Couple were not on speaking terms when he took the case. And when they withdrew the matter from the High-court, and four months later moved in back together as husband and wife, the vision for Olorato Marriage Counselling Centre was established. Today many marriages have been restored, many homes have been rebuilt and relationships have been repaired. ‘’The future looks promising. ‘’ The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams’’. And Olorato believes every marriage can be restored. Dont give up too soon.
