Botswana Savings Bank Donates Blankets to Gumare Primary Hospital
Gumare Primary Hospital this morning received a donation of 100 blankets from Botswana Savings Bank (BSB) through the Gumare Primary Hospital Advisory Committee, a gesture welcomed with gratitude by hospital leadership and local authorities.
In her welcoming remarks, Principal Nursing Officer I, Ms Batho Rampana, said the donation symbolizes care, compassion, kindness, and love. She expressed heartfelt appreciation to the bank for its support and urged hospital staff to safeguard the blankets for the benefit of patients.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, BSB Gumare Branch Manager, Mrs Tshepo Godirwang, said the bank was pleased to contribute as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative. She noted that the blankets are expected to make a meaningful difference in enhancing patient comfort and care.
Receiving the donation, the Secretary of the Gumare Primary Hospital Advisory Committee Pastor Masego Mzingwani thanked BSB for its continued partnership and commitment to improving patient welfare.
For her part, the Deputy District Commissioner for Okavango, Ms Opelo Gaopale, commended Botswana Savings Bank for its generosity and encouraged the institution to consider adopting the hospital to support other existing needs. She further urged other companies to emulate the bankโs example, emphasizing that government alone cannot meet all societal needs.
The donation marks continued collaboration between the hospital and community stakeholders aimed at improving health service delivery in the district.
