The Medical Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing medical supplies, pharmaceuticals contracts and equipment for healthcare facilities. This role ensures that procurement activities are cost-effective, timely, and compliant with Belize Labor Laws, while supporting high-quality patient care and safe inventory handling.

1. Office-based within a hospital setting.
2. Requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing and computer use.

To ensure safety, compliance, and quality in inventory management, the Medical Procurement Officer must implement and oversee the following protocols:

a. Ensure all medical supplies are stored according to manufacturer's guidelines (e.g., temperature, humidity, light exposure).
b. Use climate-controlled environments for temperature-sensitive items like vaccines and medications.

b. Organize supplies by category, usage frequency, and expiration dates using the
FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

2. Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in healthcare.
3. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
