As I look on social media we see many people training all over the country .
In some cases information given are correct base on where information is coming from .
The thing that bothers me the most as a Trainer is that people are not being taught proper techniques..
I personally believe that if you are running a class we should impart the knowledge properly for one to be able to save a life .
In a classroom setting I found out from experience that when teaching skills it's best to have one instructor for every 6 persons . That way it's easier for an instructor to ensure that students grasp the skills being taught and can be more effective when saving a life..
Think about it ? Are you being effective in your teaching method?

So you took a class , you passed you scored an 100 % or an A, you are smart right ?
Question is, did you Master the skills , are you confident enuff in what you scored a perfect score ?
Well, they both go hand in hand because the knowledge you Gain only takes you half way there , with out proper skills it means nothing .
Hence the reason why if you don't get it ask for help it's important you must be confident .
Think about it .

There was a drowning earlier today in San Ignacio , I deeply sympathize with the Family of this child.
So in CPR there is a difference with child ,infant and adults ..
As a former Training coordinator and Faculty for American Heart Association (AHA ) and now lead instructor for ABC life Support in the country of Belize. I will try to shed some light on CPR so here goes .
Please Note that CPR prolongs life until professional help comes along .
Only for CPR purposes from 0 to 1 year of age is known as an infant .
From 1 year to puberty you are considered a child and from puberty upwards we are considered an adult.
A child and an infant rarely suffer from Cardiac Arrest because most of us born with a healthy heart, as a result they will suffer mostly from respiratory arrest, meaning they will stop breathing, while an adult will suffer from a Cardiac arrest meaning the heart will stop beating normally due to the diet and the life style most of us live .
Saying this ,it means that it is easier for a child and infant to revive if proper cpr is done with in the proper time ......

How to stop Bleeding , start by applying direct pressure.
If bleeding doesn't stop , we continue to apply a clean cloth up to 3 bulky dressing , if the bleeding still doesn't stop then we elevate the area if possible..while continue to maintain direct pressure.
Then place a bandage on top of the bulky dressing and secure it with a knot directly on the wound .
This is call a pressure bandage .
If bleeding continues and it is difficult to control we want to place a tourniquet between the injury and the patient body .
Note : To be used only on extremities.
