This morning, our Minister of Health, Hon. Kevin Bernard, had the pleasure of visiting the dedicated team from Partners for Medical Relief, a non-profit organization that has been providing critical medical care to those in need in Belize since 2004.
During his visit, Minister Bernard met with the leadership team, including:
* Dr. Yen Hsieh, Medical Director and ENT and Plastic Surgeon, who recently joined the University of California and the Los Angeles Childrenโs Hospital.
* Erica Alcibiade, DO, Medical Director and anesthesiologist, who has participated in numerous medical mission trips to Belize and other countries.
* Mandy Morrison, Nursing Director and RN, who has served in Belize for many years and is also a facial plastic team member at the University of Cincinnati.
We are grateful for the incredible work that Partners for Medical Relief does in our country. Their team provides life-changing medical services, including:
Plastic surgery to repair cleft palates and improve quality of life
ENT services to remove thyroids and alleviate breathing difficulties
Tonsillectomies and adenoidectomies to improve respiratory health
Their selfless dedication to providing critical medical care has made a significant impact on the lives of countless Belizeans. We are proud to partner with them in their mission to improve healthcare outcomes in our country.
