Camp Joy Belize

Camp Joy Belize Founded in 2014 by Pastors Frankie and Abby Wade, Camp Joy Belize, a ministry of Living Waters Fellowship Church, serves individuals with special needs.

We offer summer camps, the JOY Employability Program, and Daily Joy, a weekly recreational ministry. Camp Joy Belize is a ministry of Living Waters Fellowship Church, Belize. We believe that all people are made in the image of God and are therefore important and special in His sight regardless of mental and physical ability. As a result of that belief, Camp Joy ministers to those who have intellectual disabilities. Campers must be at least 13 years old and have self-help skills. Camp Joy has a one-to-one camper/counselor ratio. The Camp Joy staff is experienced in working with individuals with a wide variety of ages and abilities.

As always, everyone came in full of energy and excitement! We kicked things off with joyful worship πŸŽΆπŸ™ and continued exploring our October theme verse: Psalm 9:1 β€”οΏ½β€œI will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.” πŸ’›
This week, we focused on the importance of thanksgiving to the Lord, and had a great time doing puzzles and games centered around being thankful, grateful, and blessed. 🧩🎲✨
And of course β€” we enjoyed some yummy fruit cups and delicious snacks to top it all off! πŸ“πŸ‡πŸŠπŸ˜‹
A huge thank you to Ms. Abby, her family, and our amazing volunteers who make time each week to love, serve, and bring joy to the kids. We’re so grateful for you! πŸ’•πŸ‘

A big shoutout to the YWAM DTS team, who led us in worship, an amazing craft, tasty snacks and fun!! πŸ’ƒπŸŽ€πŸŽ¨πŸͺ
And yes... we had a popcorn machine! πŸΏπŸ˜„ Because what's a celebration without a little extra fun?

September has come to a close, and we enjoyed our September Celebrations month! This week was full of JOY as usual. We had a great time learning how to make waffles β€” yum! πŸ§‡πŸ˜‹ To cool off, we enjoyed some juicy watermelon, and the highlight of the day was celebrating Ms Abby’s birthday with some yummy cupcakes.
