Camp Joy Belize

Founded in 2014 by Pastors Frankie and Abby Wade, Camp Joy Belize, a ministry of Living Waters Fellowship Church, serves individuals with special needs.

We offer summer camps, the JOY Employability Program, and Daily Joy, a weekly recreational ministry. Camp Joy Belize is a ministry of Living Waters Fellowship Church, Belize. We believe that all people are made in the image of God and are therefore important and special in His sight regardless of mental and physical ability. As a result of that belief, Camp Joy ministers to those who have intellectual disabilities. Campers must be at least 13 years old and have self-help skills. Camp Joy has a one-to-one camper/counselor ratio. The Camp Joy staff is experienced in working with individuals with a wide variety of ages and abilities.

✨🎄 Daily Joy — December 12 🎄✨
We continued practicing for our final Christmas program 🤫🥰
Then we finished off the afternoon by each making our own hot cocoa and enjoying it with some cookies ☕🍪💛
We are so thankful for Ms. Abby, her family, and all the volunteers who show up every Friday and make these moments possible. ❤️🌟

At the start of this school year we received word from concerned parents as the special education classroom in Belmopan was unexpectedly closing. After further investigation we discovered it was being moved over to the United Evergreen Primary School. We met with the teacher and learned of her needs and a desire for a kitchen to help teach life skills to her students.

Camp Joy Belize in faith invested in that classroom over the past few weeks. We were able to provide them with a second hand stove and with the assistance of Belize Vo-Tech a brand new sink and countertop. This project cost approximately $700 USD. If you are interested in helping us cover the cost of this project please reach out directly and we can share how best to donate.
