God is good all the time
PHOTO OF THE WEEK
“This is where I spent a portion of my childhood and early adolescent life. No light, no water; and no phone or tablet, for surely life was very hard back then. My father tried his best while he was around, but had a serious drinking problem, which eventually led to the break up of he and my mom, when I was only 12 years of age.
I seek help from ministers of government (both colors) with much false hope; some family members, dedicated teachers and good friends reach out to assist, of which am much appreciative, but could only sustain life for a while. I was a only child, so I had to 'man up' and try to take care of me and mom, from such a tender age. I work diligently at Malic Quality in the evenings after classes and on weekends, from standard 6 right up to 6th form schooling.
Amazingly, I won a scholarship to high school, came in first every term, was the valedictorian and won another scholarship to teritary level. I eventually got in to the teaching profession while pursuing my first degree in Bio- Education and after about 17 years of service, went and did a training in health education before finishing up my doctoral degree later on, in Naturopathic medicine, where I serve proudly today.
Despite the many hardships and mishaps I experienced in life, I now look back and realize, I am truly a bless child of the 'Most High'.”
