Here is the big news I mentioned a short while ago. A huge thank you to all that were instrumental in this landmark court case, especially to Anthony Reese, and as I mentioned previously, to my knowledge this is the first time that advocates for natural medicines have so decisively won their case against draconian laws designed to protect patented, synthetic medicines.

SUPREME COURT OF APPEAL WIN FOR NATURAL MEDICINE IN SOUTH AFRICA
Today the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein upheld the judgement of the Gauteng North High Court which struck down the contraversial 2017 Complementary Medicine regulations under the Medicines Act.
The unanimous judgement of the five presiding judges of the court dismissed the appeal by the Minister of Health and South African Health Products Authority (SAHPRA) with costs.
This is a significant victory for consumers, who can now continue to access natural health products for their health and wellness in South Africa. The TNHA will soon reveal its plans to draft and table new appropriate legislation for the industry outside the framework of the Medicines Act.
