This evening my walk was labeled a "constitutional walk" -- and that made me laugh. But really, Google's description of a constitutional walk as "a regular walk taken for the purpose of exercise and health" IS why I walk.
I've begun making it a habit to try to walk several blocks every evening because I see the benefits of moving my body. If you read or research what helps to reduce anxiety and stress, movement always comes up.
To make your walk as constitutional as it can be, I recommend walking fast enough to get your blood pumping a bit but not so fast that you miss seeing the scenery around you. Noticing flowers, people, the sky, etc helps to ground you - bring you back to the present.
Another "constitutional" activity is talking with your coach. π A coach helps to untangle the thoughts stuck in your head to help bring clarity and rest. If that sounds like something you need, please send me a private message.
