The Balance of Opposites ~ Yin and Yang

The Yin and Yang originated in Chinese philosophy and mirrors the universal dynamic cycle of alternating duality between opposites.

The practical relevance of this balance in nature is reflective of the caduceus which represents the two opposite hemispheres of the brain.
In the practice of esoteric astrology it is important to balance the right sided intuitional brain with the left sided logical and analytical brain.
For many people sadly the left sided brain is the heavyweight which creates bias and therefore balance is missing or needed.

I am reminded of this every time I give a lecture or class on astrology and there is almost every time a preponderance of women or feminine energy and a complete absence of men.
