The Group Facilitator plays a vital role in supporting the spiritual, emotional, and personal development of our residents. Jamie K. — "My life before coming to Joshua House was a complete mess. I was always in and out of prison. I was doing drugs. My life got so bad that I became homeless and ended up in prison. My life has changed significantly since I have been here. This is the longest I have been sober since I started using drugs. I finally feel like I can do something with my life. I am excited to see what God has planned for my life and to live a life without drugs."

Thank you Russell Hendrix and Gary! They are are a commercial kitchen supplier located in Chilliwack. They had some stuff like plates, utensils, jugs, bowls and more taking up room in their warehouse. We needed gear. So they gifted us with all sorts of handy goods. Thank you! RH Cares! We asked for chairs, and then BAM! A generous dad of one of our residents swooped in and replaced our worn-out seats with 160 brand-new banquet and event chairs. Talk about a bottom-line upgrade!

Neat News Friends!
Joshua House now has an account registered with Return-It bottle depot. With several locations spread across the lower mainland, this makes it super easy to drop your empties off, and chose JH as the recipient. And another cool feature? Return-It also sends out official tax receipts at the end of the year. So, a simple act of dropping off your bag of empties can both help JH, and help you during tax season :)

This being my first Gala at JH, I was blown away by the overwhelming response. The energy and encouragement emanating from the 250 attendees were palpable. Our main goal was to gather, share stories, and invite you to join us in our mission to support men seeking freedom. Your generosity has left us inspired. Our small office team is still counting the donations, and we are inching closer to our internal goal of $100,000, although we are slightly short. Furthermore, we almost doubled our monthly partners. The Gala was a pivotal moment for us, allowing us to share our current progress and future aspirations. By 2030, JH plans to own 50% of the properties we operate, cultivate 100 new leaders for recovery work, and attract 1000 monthly partners to aid us in our fight against addiction's devastating impact on our communities. There is always time to give! If you are able, please do!

A special shout out to the Church of the Nazarene who came out expecting a table - we goofed that! But the Clarion delivered and the Church of the Nazarene were gracious as we sorted it out.

Who has chairs? Our 100 chairs are meeting their life end, as you can see. We are really thankful for all their support over the years but it is time to release them from their sturdy duties. If you know anyone with stacks of happy and healthy unused chairs to support our residents at the Creek, please share our need. We will be thankful from the bottoms of our hearts.
