While there are so many smiles and love and laughter and my heart couldnโ€™t possibly be more full, happy and grateful for my little man, motherhood is no F*CKING JOKE.

Thank YOU to all my mama friends who are here supporting me. By telling me youโ€™ve experienced the exact struggles I am going through right now, I know Iโ€™m not alone and that everything is ok and normal and this reeeeaaalllyy hard part will pass.

The. Sleep deprivation. Napping. Feeding. Pumping. Constant clinging. Worrying. Trying so hard to do your best but never feeling like itโ€™s enough. Shall pass.

It will evolve. Not necessarily be 100% easier, but different and better in some ways.

I look forward to that time but I also am here for this time.

Present, welcoming, practicing, showing up, doing my best, giving my all while tryyyyyying to take the pressure off so I can enjoy it while it lasts.

This lil nugget is FOUR WEEKS TODAY ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿฅน

This photo is from when he was 10 days old. Heโ€™s 28 days now and has grown so much - 11.2 pounds!

It is a must that I give a huge shout out to my support crew who have been by my side since our lil nugget was born (and before too):

1. My main squeeze , thank you for being the best daddy there is out there! You have been providing for us non stop with plenty of daddy son time and always making sure weโ€™re fed and rested - all while running a business (and taking care of the dog!) ๐Ÿฅฐ Hearing you sing to our son and step into fatherhood has been so beautiful and amazing to witness. I love you!

2. We wouldnโ€™t be doing so well without the help of my mama, Grandma Kim, who has been helping with aaaalll things (laundry, recycling, cleaning, doggy duty) around the house pre and post birth plus taking early mornings (and afternoons and whenever) with Atlas so I can squeeze in a few extra hours of sleep. We love you Granny!

3. Nana Jayne and Granddad Andrew were here for 2 weeks and such a wonderful help! You encouraged us to go out on a date sans baby with total confidence and if you werenโ€™t holding him, you were helping around the house. Thank you so much, we miss you already!

4. All my friends who have sent well wishes and meals our way! You have been the biggest help! Thank you soooo much! You know who you are and we wouldnโ€™t be feeling somewhat sane without your support and love.

It literally does take a village and I do not take for granted how blessed I am for this support ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿฉต

In my last post, I said I would update you on the rewiring of my new beliefs & here it is folx โ‡ข
DAY 15/30 COMPLETE & BIG CHANGE IS HAPPENING! How so?

1. As mentioned in that original post, it all started with my consistent mediation practice combined with me getting sick and going all negative which gave me huge clarity that my limiting beliefs were STILL very present and lurking in the backseat trying to drive my life ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

2. Seeing my limiting beliefs with this crystal clear clarity kinda grossed me out ๐Ÿคข which gave me huge motivation to change 'em. I could really see how damaging they were to my life and I was fed up! ๐Ÿ˜ค

3. The fed up-ness drove a deep intrinsic motivation to change and in turn this ignited a stronger than ever commitment to show up consistently in my new practice of re-writing my beliefs and actually do the work. I wasn't settling for a half ass attempt. I was ready to change these beliefs once and for all.

3. The commitment to show up & write my new beliefs out for 30 days straight without fail, no matter what, at first led to simple memorization of the new beliefs. After about 5 days, I knew them off by heart. I would write them without looking at yesterday, recite them when I walked, repeat them when meditated and say them when I went to bed.

4. About 8 days in is where things started to shiftโ€ฆthe memorization led to integration. Knowing my new beliefs so well and repeating them so often caused my brain to do something different. Before its usual knee jerk reaction to go to old beliefs, it started to slow down, reconsider, ponder, then before the old beliefs seeped in, I was there to swoop in, re-wire and reinforce a new one.

5. Hereโ€™s where the magic started to happen about 11 days in. The memorization, integration, slow down and reinforcement became easier. The new beliefs were becoming the go to! I was experiencing the shift. I could feel the work working. I actually was seeing and believing I can do this!

6. = EVEN MORE MAGIC - Day 11-15, I am now in awe of myself, my brain, my body, my commitment. I'm literally changing my beliefs and it feels so good to be this person for me. I love me!

Did you know that defaulting to a negative mindset is actually ingrained in our DNA? Yes, we are wired to focus on the negative ๐Ÿคฏ

It's called and it's a doozy. Neuroscientists trace it back to when we were hunters over 120,000 years ago and needed to be constantly on alert from saber tooth tigers and what not. Unfortunately, this sneaky lil thing has stuck around cause times change quickly but DNA donโ€™t.

The good news is you can literally rewire your brain cause ๐Ÿง  which allows us to train our brain to create new thoughts, new beliefs, new habits and eventually a new life. You can start today by committing to developing a GROWTH MINDSET.

Neuroscientist, Risk Hanson, suggests a quick and easy three-step method to doing this called the NOTICE-SHIFT-REWIRE. A course I just completed called 'Access to Power' suggests something similar: STOP-NOTICE-GIVE IT UP. Buddhism and other spiritual practices call it self-awareness, presence and non-attachment.

Do research and pick a way to master your mindset. Commit to it. Cause mindset literally determines how everything goes in your life.

I recently had Covid (which is why I've been MIA #๐Ÿ˜…) and what I noticed while I sick was that HOLY does my mindset take a dark, defeated turn towards the negative when Iโ€™m not well. I realized that even as a Coach I still have a huge opportunity to develop resiliency in my OWN mindset so that is UNSHAKABLE when my health (mental and physical) is good and not so good.

Therefore, Iโ€™m adding a new challenge to my ongoing 90 day self discipline/meditation challenge.

How? ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป I determined 10 negative biases I have towards life and I rewrote new ones that are positive and align with what I want. Then, every morning I am writing out each new belief in my journal. Iโ€™m doing this for 30 days in addition to meditating. Iโ€™m already 5 days in and noticing a huge difference ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

I've been wanting to make a vision board for quite some time but alas magazines are a thing of the past and I never got around to sourcing them out and doing my vision board until now. LOOK AT HER ๐Ÿ˜ I'm so proud!โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €

This happened cause other day I got the idea of creating a digital vision board and, voila, Canva for the win! You can sign up to Canva for free, then simply search Vision Board and tons of templates will pop up. 1. Reflect on your life and what you want for it over the next 1, 3, 5 or 10 years through a journaling or meditation exercise โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €

2. Pick approximately 4-8 areas of your life (personal, professional, financial, health, adventure, etc...) to focus on when creating your boardโ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €

3. Create it how you want it - it's your board, make it EXACTLY as you want, there's no right or wrong hereโ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €

Hello my loves! Wishing you a safe and happy holiday szn โœจโค๏ธ With 2022 around the corner, I want to remind you that a NEW YEAR does not mean that it's time for a NEW YOU. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €
Sure the new year brings a sense of renewal, but what I've come to know is that an ALIGNED ME, meaning my head, heart and body are aligned, is the key to my life flowing and feeling good. And, staying in alignment with myself is an essential practice that I stay on top of all year 'round.โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €
Whenever I'm off course, not feeling good, or straight up depressed I've learned it is because I'm out of alignment and pretending I want to BE or DO something that in reality I do not want to BE or DO. I'm pretending like hell (for one reason or another) that I do but eventually that s**t starts to eat away at my entire life. Yikes - I must realign, like quick! โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €
The tendency to pretend can be conscious or subconscious, but for some reason it's deeply ingrained in many of us. We feel as though we HAVE or NEED to do something even though we DON'T WANT. It's strangely normalized in today's world, but when you think about it, it's an act of self abandonment which doesn't honour YOU, nor is it a way to live YOUR best life. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €

It wants to be in control, so as a defense its words come flooding in and question everything. 'Am I doing this right?' 'What's supposed to happen?' 'This is weird.' Begin with tip #1, be super comfortable and focus on your natural breath. Now, when the questioning voice comes in say, 'I let go of the need to do it right'. Here, you are telling the ego that it does not have a hold on you. Let it go and keep circling back to your body in its comfortable position and the natural rhythm of your breath.
