Hello there,
I have some news to share.
I have taken a job with Interior Health in 100 Mile House as a Community Nurse and will be providing foot care in the South Cariboo area
I will no longer be providing foot care in Abbotsford
I have enjoyed our visits and appreciate you so much for trusting me with your foot care.

Living in Canada, one would think that the incidence of amputations due to diabetes would be steadily decreasing. Though Canada has managed to reduce the number of cardiovascular events in the diabetic population, amputation rates continue to rise and compare poorly with many other developed countries. In fact, the mortality rate of people with amputations is 50% after 5 years - meaning 1 in 2 people die after an amputation!

Amputation remains one of the most dreaded complications in the lives of people with diabetes. One of the leading causes of amputation is diabetes-related foot ulcers. They also are among the highest costs in our health-care system.
