1. Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP), developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, is an auditory intervention designed to help reduce stress and auditory sensitivity. Based on the Polyvagal Theory, by calming the physiological and emotional states, the door is opened for improved communication and social engagement. Thi

s non-invasive intervention involves listening to music that has been processed to retune the nervous system specifically to introduce a sense of safety and the ability to socially engage. This allows clients to better interpret not only human speech, but more importantly, the emotional meaning of language. Once interpersonal interactions improve, spontaneous social behaviours, and an enhanced ability to learn, self-regulate and engage are often seen. SSP can be delivered in person or remotely. 2. iLs Focus Programs are available through in-home sessions or during school. iLs Focus Program can benefit people of all ages - including, but not limited to ADHD, Autism, Auditory Processing, Learning Abilities, Sensory Processing, Reading, and Speech Problems. "iLs is based on the fact that we can change our brain – we can essentially re-wire it through specific and repeated stimulation, a concept known as neuroplasticity. As in building strength and endurance with physical exercise, we are able to build neurological pathways and synaptic activity at any age." 🎬💙 CalmDad Sensory-Friendly Movie Night 💙🎬

We are excited to announce that CalmDad, in partnership with C&J Company, is working on creating a special sensory-friendly movie experience for autistic families at Cineplex Abbotsford.

For many autistic children, going to the movies can feel overwhelming because of loud sounds, crowds, bright lights, and the pressure to sit still. Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where children can simply be themselves.

✨ Siblings welcome
✨ Designed to help families feel comfortable and included

Missing Youth – Public Assistance Requested

The Abbotsford Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Malcolm Gerbrand.

Malcolm was last seen at Highstreet Mall in Abbotsford on April 26th at approximately 5:00 PM. He is described as 5’2” tall, approximately 100 lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a camouflage hoodie, black jeans, and black running shoes.

Malcolm is known to frequent areas throughout the Lower Mainland and may be travelling by public transit.

Anyone with information regarding Malcolm’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department and reference file number 26-17630.

This petition reflects the collective voice of parents, caregivers, service providers, educators, and community members who are deeply concerned about the impact of the CYSN changes.
