Very sad to learn that the Queen has passed away today. I personally met Her Royal Highness during the 1987 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Vancouver, BC.

LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!

How low can this Government go!! Good job Sean BRUYEA for digging deep to shed light on this deceitful policy. But who was the Minister of Veterans Affairs at the time? Who was the employee that suggested this?

Canada's veterans department shied away from a proposal to use social media "influencers" to get its message out to an increasingly fractured and frustrated community of former soldiers, sailors and aircrew, federal documents reveal.

Veterans Affairs Minister Lawrence MacAulay's spokesman Alex Wellstead said the government is committed to better supporting those who have served in uniform by hiring more staff and making it easier to access services.

"If a veteran requires a case manager, they will receive the best care possible until they feel they have made a successful transition," he said.

Is it just me that heard the Minister of Veterans Affairs Canada - Seamus O'Regan and the Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs Canada - Walter Natynczyk say on Facebook live when they announced Pension For Life (PFL) that those on Career Impact Allowance Supplement would be grandfathered?

Here is what my letter from Veterans Affairs says and reflects:

We are writing to inform you that as of 1 April 2019 the following programs have ended as a result of recent amendments to the Veterans Well-being Act.

* Earnings Loss Benefit (Now IRB)
* CIA and CIA Supplement. (Only CIA is now Additional Pain and Suffering. THE SUPPLEMENT IS GONE)
* Retirement Income Security Benefit (Now IRB after 65)
*Supplementary Retirement Benefit (Discontinued only for IRB and not those on SISIP)

YOU ARE BOTH LYING $& #$ #@%^&*^(&*

So for many years I have been suggesting solutions to limit the number of claims from injured veterans. But when the bureaucracy makes the decisions and would prefer to hire more employees who do less work... nothing will ever change.

One solution would be that if a veteran is deemed Diminished Earning Capacity (DEC) and will never be employable, then raise them to 100% and they will be no more claims... just CARE.

How many less claims would there be with this solution? Would there be a savings with the need for less Public Service Employees?

Just my thoughts...what do you think?

https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2019/03/07/nearly-40000-canadian-veterans-waiting-for-disability-benefits-as-backlog-keeps-growing.html

Not only did that represent an increase of 11,000 from the previous year, but wait times similarly increased as the percentage of applications sitting in the queue longer than 16 weeks grew.
