An older article but important one. Steps you can take to have a healthier biome (kids and adults) cut back on sugar and processed foods which feed bad bacteria and a probiotic supplement daily. You can also get probiotic from unpasteurized fermented foods like saurkraut.

So, you should just be able to give them a chill pill and be done with it, right?

There are often articles posted in the mainstream or alternative media that single out one thing as being the best kept secret for fighting certain diseases. This morning I read an article about lemons and cancer...it sure sounded good, similar benefits to what I was taught in my nutrition studies. I decided to check out snopes.com to see if this article was on there as being bogus. Here is the snopes piece about the lemon article I read (the first item mentioned is the one I read) and while lemon is a wonder food (like all fruits and vegetables) research evidence is scanty in the claims the article makes. Have a read, you will see why it doesn't hurt to add lemons to your day even if they aren't the next best thing!

Brent and Katie are often heard saying there is nothing to eat! I look into the same fridge and pantry and see endless possibilities. Preparing meals from simple ingredients doesn't take much time or effort - you just have to know what to do and have the motivation to do it! I can teach you what to do...but you have to be motivated to do it!

My CSA box has given me lots of hot peppers this summer :) I haven't used them the last few weeks, so today I made a quart of Thai Sweet Chili Sauce. It is delicious right off the spoon, I can't wait to start slathering it on things - like Steelhead Trout for supper tonight!
