Let me re-introduce myself 👋🏻
Hey there! I’m Sabrina - RMT, acupuncture practitioner, clinic owner, mom, new grandma (!!), and mama to my forever baby (mini cockapoo) Benny.
Before I stepped into the world of therapy, I spent years teaching group fitness and as a fitness trainer. I injured my back in my late 30’s. It stopped everything in its tracks. I was told it was permanent, that I’d never train, run or be able to engage in certain exercises again.
The road to recovery was life altering and took patience, a combination of therapies, and a whole lot of re-education to understand my body better and to function better. It took over a year to recover but that experience lit a fire in me to better understand the body and the brain connection to pain.
I went on to graduate in Massage Therapy, and later completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster. I’m a proud member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and the Canadian Contemporary Acupuncture Association. I also stay up-to-date with evidence-based training so I can offer the most informed care possible.
My practice is focused on pain reduction/management, improving function, and calming the nervous system, so you can feel good in your body again. I use techniques like myofascial release, mobilizations, cupping and electro-acupuncture, always based on your unique needs.
I believe healing extends beyond the treatment room. I love sharing tools, exercises and insights to help you continue to recover & feel empowered between sessions. I work with an amazing team of like-minded health care professionals that genuinely care about your wellness and recovery. We strive to create a trauma-informed, integrative practice
When I’m not working, you’ll find me enjoying time with family (I absolutely love my role being a grandma!!) going for walks & cuddle time with Mr. Benny - who loves his massages too or soaking up some self-care. One of my favorite go to’s is cold plunging and sauna cycling lol
If you’re on your own recovery journey, just know — it’s possible. You can feel strong, capable, and connected to your body again. I’m here to help you get there 🌿
