🧡 Relationships aren't static—they are living, dynamic aspects of our lives that require attention and care. In order to benefit from strong and healthy connections with others, we should take charge of our relationships and put in the time and energy we would any other aspect of our wellbeing.

Focus on practising gratitude. Gratitude is one of the most accessible positive emotions, and its effects can strengthen friendships and intimate relationships. A recent study found that expressing gratitude toward a partner or friend can strengthen the relationship, and this positive boost is felt by both parties—the one who expresses gratitude and the one who receives it.

👉🏼 Remembering to say “thank you” when a friend listens or your spouse brings you a cup of coffee can set off an upward spiral of trust, closeness, and affection. 🌺

💜 This Affirmation aligns perfectly with today’s full Moon that presents itself this afternoon at 2:26 PM ET! The arrival of a full 🌕 is a time to reflect and let go.

If there’s one thing we all have in common, it’s that we want to feel happy; and on the other side of that coin, we want to avoid hurting. Yet we consistently put ourselves in situations that set us up for pain.

We pin our happiness to people, circumstances, and things and hold onto them for dear life. We stress about the possibility of losing them when something seems amiss. Then we melt into grief when something changes—a lay off, a breakup, or a transfer.

👉🏼 In trying to hold on to what’s familiar, we limit our ability to experience joy in the present. A moment can’t possibly radiate fully when you’re suffocating it in fear.

When you stop trying to grasp, own, and control the world around you, you give it the freedom to fulfill you without the power to destroy you. That’s why letting go is so important—letting go is letting happiness in.

Monday is a full Moon! 🌕

The August full Moon arrives Monday, August 19, at 2:26 PM ET, and is known as the Sturgeon Moon. Other names include the Fruit Moon, Grain Moon and the Green Corn Moon. August’s full Moon is special this year because it is a Blue Moon supermoon—the first supermoon of four in a row!

🌕 There are two types of blue Moons: seasonal and monthly. Monday’s blue Moon will be of the seasonal variety. A seasonal blue Moon occurs when there are four full moons in a single season (on this occasion, summer). When this happens, the third of the four is considered a blue Moon.

👉🏼 The full Moon is a time of cleansing. It’s a time to surrender, release, and let go of what is no longer aligned with us energetically.

📖 Journaling is a wonderful way to check-in with yourself and really validate everything you’ve been through and everything you’d like to manifest.

💛 Balanced living means considering all aspects of your life: relationships, work, fitness and health, and emotional well-being.

We all get bogged down with work and family responsibilities from time to time, but making time for yourself is necessary so that you can keep up with all your responsibilities.

👉🏼 Tips for living a well-balanced life:

1. Take care of and nurture yourself. (You cannot do anything well unless you do well by yourself first.)

2. Know what your priorities are. (Balance does not entail cramming in every activity possible.)

3. Create an efficient mindset. (Be organized and plan ahead.)

4. Expect the unexpected. (Rather than getting stressed and upset, try to roll with the punches when something unexpected arises.)

5. Maintain a positive mental attitude. (Begin each day with the intention of making the best and most of it.) 🌻

Keep these words in mind, or write them on a sticky note, for when you need a reminder that, in order to create a better outside reality, we first need to create a better inside reality.

We attract what we focus on. So, if you don't like what is going on in your life at the moment, the first thing you need to do is to change your mental image of yourself and your surroundings.

From there, your mindset will naturally begin to shift to a more positive outlook. And, in so doing, you will start to create the life you really want and deserve. Why? Because your outer reality will start to mirror your inner reality.🤍
