At Chartwell Rosemont Les Quartiers in Montreal, QC, residents turned an abandoned stretch of land into a flourishing garden filled with flowers and biodiversity, now known as the Jardins d’Iberville. 🌸🌿

Launched four years ago as a grassroots project, the gardens have become a source of pride, creativity and connection for seniors in Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie. From planting and painting to simply spending time outdoors, everyone plays a part in this “little garden of happiness.”

Monique, a joyful and adventurous senior from Candiac, QC, always dreamed of taking to the skies in a hot air balloon. Inspired by her granddaughter’s own flight as a teen, Monique wished to share a similar experience with her family.

💙 Yesterday, our Chartwell Retirement Residence team proudly attended the Parkinson's Walk in Whitby! It was an inspiring day filled with community spirit, support, and hope as we joined others in raising awareness for Parkinson’s disease. Chartwell Harwood was lucky enough to be joined by Chartwell Pickering City Centre, Chartwell Wynfield, and Chartwell Colonial! Great job to everyone who participated.

We are so grateful to be part of such a meaningful event and to stand alongside residents, families, and friends who walk with purpose and heart. Together, every step makes a difference! 👟✨

What a day at Chartwell Harwood! ✨🌽

We hosted our Annual Corn Roast and it was an afternoon filled with laughter, delicious food, and wonderful company. Residents, families, and friends came together to enjoy fresh corn on the cob, hotdogs, live entertainment, and plenty of summertime games.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event so special 💛. Moments like these remind us how lucky we are to share such a warm and welcoming home!

EGG-CELLENT ENGINEERS AT WORK! 🥚🐣

Last week was all about our Summer Fun & Flavours theme of the week "The Great Outdoors!" With a little bit of creativity, laughter, and a big mess, our residents took on the Great Egg Drop Challenge! Armed with straws, tape, cotton, bubble wrap and all sorts of household supplies, they designed protective contraptions to keep their precious eggs safe from a lofty fall.

The back patio was filled with excitement (and a few gasps!) as each egg took the plunge. Some made it… some cracked under pressure… but everyone had an egg-straordinary time! Who knew physics could be so fun?
