SENIORS' DAY AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS Seniors in Ajax and the surrounding community now have a place to socialize with their cohorts and be stimulated in mind, body and spirit. The program is facilitated by qualified staff including PSWs. Seniors participate in multiple activities daily including but not limited to: Bingo, Crafts, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Physio Therapy, Physical Activity, Brain Stimulating Activities, and more. Clients are provided 2 snacks and a nutritious lunch daily, for the reasonable rate of $40.00 incl tax per day. The Day Program runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Transportation can be arranged. VAC Health Identification Cards Accepted 24 HRS HOME CARE AGENCY Each client is assessed by an RN and a care plan is designed to meet the needs of the individual. Referral can be made to community partners who work with The Lighthouse Retreat clientele such as: Bowen's Pharmacy, Durham House Call Services, Smile Matter Mobile Dental Hygiene Services, Veteran Affair Canada, Mobile Massage Therapy, In Home Foot Care Services, Seniors on Wheels, and more. A PSW will be assigned to meet the care needs of the individual. Personal Support Workers (PSW's) provide care in your home, hospital, nursing home, or wherever the services are needed. Services include but are not limited to: grooming, dressing, bathing, transferring in and out of bed, bed care, medication compliance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship and more. Prices varies based on needs so please call for more details. VAC Health Identification Cards Accepted NEW MOM SERVICES Registered Nurses and trained PSW will provide in home support to prenatal and postpartum mothers and their children which increases the parent child connection and can reduce the risk of postpartum depression. Pricing is based on individual service and the established package. Services Include: • Prenatal education • Postpartum Recovery • Breastfeeding and formula feeding support • Shopping and meal preparation • Baby’s Personal Care – bathing, dressing, feeding, laundry • Comforting and stimulating of child/children • Light housekeeping • Night nanny support ​• Education on various topics to enhance parent child relationship and parenting outcome
