Dear Durham Psychologists Patients,

Our top priority is the safety of our patients and staff. We are closely monitoring COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation and are following the guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).

CURRENTLY, WE REMAIN OPEN AND PROVIDE PSYCHOLOIGCAL SERVICES DURING OUR REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS.

In Durham Region, the current risk level associated with the virus is low. Many high-traffic facilities with a large-number capacity in the community are closed, but our clinic has low traffic with ample space to keep personal distance. We are enforcing the following safety protocols:

1. Meticulously cleaning the surfaces (especially high-touch areas such as door k***s, the POS machine terminal, telephone, etc.) with disinfectant cleaner multiple times throughout our operation hours; our cleaner eliminates 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.
2. Enforcing the staff’s safety protocol; Our staff are being trained to practice social distancing, increase hand-washing, and staying home should they feel ill.

We also ask your cooperation by staying home if you experience any of the flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath, or if you feel unwell in general.

IF YOU NEED TO STAY HOME, WE OFFER OUR PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICE VIA SECURE, ENCRIPTED VIDEO CHAT OR TELEPHONE. You only require the Internet connection and a browser to participate in the video session. Please ask for more details to our front desk staff.

Let’s work together to stay healthy and safe through this difficult time for everyone. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns, or suggestions at admin@durhampsycholoigsts.ca or 905-683-2678.

Best Regards,

Durham Psychologists
