I graduated from the University of Alberta with my Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology in 2014. In this role, I believe my priority is to hold what is well in my clients and help them find what they want to flourish. Over the past 9 years, I have worked effectively with people experiencing trauma-related effects and addictions, including eating disorders. I value working with both indiv
iduals struggling with trauma/eating disorders and their supporters such as parents, partners, and friends. I believe in helping clients grow and flourish through a client-centered framework that emphasizes equality and empowerment. I bring compassion and humour to therapy, and strive to create a safe place for all to be heard. My particular passions and areas of specialty are in the realm of eating disorders, sexual trauma, and perinatal struggles. I worked at the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton for two years, and have been running support groups with the Eating Disorder Support Network of Edmonton (EDSNA) since 2016. I also worked at Pine Integrated Health Centre, a perinatal-focused clinic, over the last several years. The therapeutic modalities that inform my practice include Emotion Focused Family
Therapy (EFFT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART, a trauma-based therapy).
