United way is a community partner of Transportation West. If you would like to donated you can drop products off at our location Access PEI Alberton back office and we will bring the products to United Way. Thanks West Prince!!

Menstrual May is here, and we need your help! 🩷

Starting today May 6 until May 31, United Way Maritimes is running a menstrual product collection drive in partnership with United Way Cape Breton as part of our fight against period poverty across the Maritimes.

We're asking businesses and individuals to donate unopened menstrual products at drop-off locations near you. Every pad, tampon, and liner makes a real difference.

Donated products go directly to United Way-funded agencies and community organizations serving women, girls, transgender, and non-binary individuals in your community!

Just a heads up to everyone traveling up west. Construction will begin tomorrow April 29 with an expected completion date of December 2026. With these delays we will be adding more travel time for medical appointments

As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we recognize and thank our exceptional Board of Directors. Your volunteer service, guidance, and countless hours of commitment are the backbone of our work. Our daily impact is only possible because of the time and expertise you generously give.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Louie Shea.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Louie understands how much kindness, faith, and wisdom he brought into the world. He served on our board for six years, including four years as our chairperson, and his leadership made a lasting impact on all of us.

I will never forget the many conversations we shared about life, faith, family, work, and golf. Even after stepping off the board two years ago, Louie continued to offer guidance whenever I needed it and volunteered every year at our Passenger Appreciation event. That was just who he was — always willing to show up, always willing to help.

Louie, you will be deeply missed by so many.
Thank you for everything you gave over the years. To your wonderful family Louie we all send our deepest condolences
