Bring Your Kids to Work Day

Today we had the chance to show Sophia what a day at Devious Designs looks like as Canada’s Grade 9 students stepped into the real world, and she jumped right in.

Sophia spent the day in the shop getting hands-on experience as she used the laser to help create some awesome signs and Christmas ornaments, and did a bunch of computer work learning how to design.

Big cheers to all the Grade 9 students who explored careers across Canada today.

We recently gave one of our customers a complete **logo rebrand** keeping the recognizable letters from his snow signs with the original idea of his old logo and blending them into a bold, modern new design that truly represents his business.

This year, Truth and Reconciliation Day feels very different for me. It’s one thing to hear about the children who never made it home, and another to write their names and create memorial cemetery stakes for them.

My work is not always easy, and children’s stakes are always the hardest but I’ve never had to see so many names at once, so many little ones carrying family names. It’s absolutely heartbreaking, not only for the children but also for the families they were taken from.

It was a true honor to help memorialize these beautiful souls. 🧡

Just picked up some orange mirror acrylic yesterday for a very special (and top secret… for now!) project, and it’s absolutely stunning. 🧡✨

Orange is the color of creativity, strength, and healing, and this vibrant mirrored finish feels like it was made for something meaningful. The way it catches the light is unreal , bold, reflective, and full of heart.

Can’t share the details just yet, but this one means a lot. Grateful to be working on something with real purpose behind it.
