Another week has come and gone and here we are nudging into September. We’ve had good music; some great weather to get outside, loved every raindrop, and enjoyed more corn on the cob and had a Taco Tuesday. Hudson's Corn made it into the house today, as per Resident's Council request, and was a big hit; sure to be continued in the weeks to come. Last night Andrew McDougall played and sang great music up and down the lanes of the Home, outside Resident's rooms and in the common areas, much to the Resident's delight. Residents said it was a really nice way to end the day. Thank you, Andrew! Veryl celebrated 100 years this week, congratulations! Maggie is always fun to have around visiting everyone and finding new places to take a break from it all. We are doing our best to help Residents enjoy the outdoors and we sure would be happy to have a visit from you. Happy Thursday evening from our Home to Yours xo

Recently we welcomed Annette, our second Director of Care, sharing responsibilities with Katherine, to the ACH team.
Our Residents have been enjoying a little outdoor time when it’s not too hot, lots of delicious refreshments to keep hydrated, and as always some very good music/entertainment. At a recent Resident’s Council meeting a request was put in for Shawarma for one of our Special Meal Programs and everyone was delighted with Moe’s Shawarma from here in town, a nice treat. And now, here we are wishing everyone a Happy Friday from our Home to Yours and safe travels wherever you may be xo

A Father's Day afternoon with lots of the men taking part; some of the interactive games that the ADHS students had made were put to good use, as well as the ever-popular fishing game, which also involved some stories or should I say tall tales of fishing catches of days gone by. Some of the gent’s favorite light refreshments were served and everyone seemed to enjoy our Father’s Day event - even thinking we may just have to have this men’s social gathering more often and as David said, "It was a great afternoon, and I didn't have to do a thing!" Good Friday Afternoon! Our 'Garden Fairies' have finished up the gardens and everything is coming along and lookin' good and good lookin' so to speak! A big thank you to the girls for their unconditional efforts and sticking with it rain or shine. A big shout out to Kylie’s Mom, Lori Trader for all the perennial donations for our gardens – oops – I hope Kylie told you? Thank you so much - Smashing!
