Cumberland County Hospice Palliative Care Society To provide physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to those individuals affected by life-limiting illness.

The people of Cumberland County have long understood the value of caring for one another. The CCHPCS is a volunteer organization that enjoys a strong and respected reputation, as well as support from over 600 members and the residents of the County. Over the years, our volunteers have been there when families needed them the most - to provide compassionate care while meeting end-of-life needs.

Ready to enhance your skills in palliative and end-of-life care? The Palliative Care eLearning Program is a comprehensive, case-based learning experience designed to build essential palliative care skills through interactive, expert-led online sessions.

Program Details
🟣 Starts: October 8, 2025
🟣 Format: Six interactive, online webinars (3 hours each)
🟣 What you'll learn: How to perform a palliative care assessment with the most up-to-date tools and create a coherent treatment plan that addresses patient, family, and caregiver needs. In addition, strategies for life-long learning, practicing physician self-care, and maintaining a sustainable practice will also be covered.

This program is a collaborative partnership between the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, Sinai Health, and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. Enrolment is limited and intended for health professionals practicing in the province of Ontario.

The IWK is offering free virtual grief support groups this fall and winter for children and teens.

This 8-week virtual grief group includes songwriting, mindfulness activities, and group discussion.
