We’ve got some big (and a little bit bittersweet) news to share from the Curly’s family.

Our guy Lyam Leblanc has accepted a call to play for the Trail Smoke Eaters in the BCHL – a higher-level league and a fantastic step forward in his hockey career. 🏒💛

Ramblers fans know how much Lyam has meant to Amherst. Since joining the Amherst Ramblers in the 2023–24 season, he:

Helped take the team on their deepest playoff run in over a decade, all the way to that unforgettable double-OT Game 6 vs. Summerside in Amherst, and

Was named MHL Goalie of the Year last season.

Pretty incredible resume.

Off the ice, Lyam has been part of the Curly’s crew during the season since September 2024 – about 14 months now. He first came to us in 2023 asking if we’d consider hiring him, and we’re so glad we said yes. He’s polite, easygoing, great with people, and just a genuinely good kid to have around.

And let’s be honest: if you’ve seen him in here, you know he’s got more style than the rest of us combined. 😄

In the Summers he heads back home to Trois-Rivières, QC, but when he’s in Amherst, he’s one of ours – at the rink and at Curly’s.

We know Ramblers fans will miss seeing him in net, but this is a special opportunity for Lyam, and we’re all behind him 100%.

Lyam, we are really proud of you. You’ll always have a spot with us at Curly’s, and you’ll always have fans here in Amherst no matter where you’re playing.

Please join us in congratulating Lyam and wishing him all the best with the Trail Smoke Eaters. Once a Rambler, always a Rambler – and always part of the Curly’s family. 🧡🥅

Your captain, Kyler has a huge Halloween treat for you. He's here at the store right now with 30 FREE tickets for tonight's big Team Canada Red 🇨🇦 vs. Czechia 🇨🇿 U17 game!

Here’s what you need to do:
Come down to the store today.
Find Captain Kyler or Captain Brown if it's after 2pm.

Walk up and say the secret phrase:
"Ahoy Captain, we're reporting for Haunted Hockey Night!"

He's giving one ticket to each of the first 30 people who say the phrase.

As part of the Trail of treats tonight from 4-6 we'll be giving out treats as well as at the rink, and we'll be doing that all weekend until we're out!
