Our March Book Club pick for those who are hoping to get a head start!

"Why is a generation of women only now discovering they have ADHD? (Spoiler: misogyny). With humor, depth and detailed reporting, Nowhere Girl explores the cultural impact of ADHD on girls and women and offers a path forward for reclaiming our narratives, forgiving ourselves and parenting our children (and reparenting ourselves) with the softness we didn’t receive."

ADHD is commonly misdiagnosed in female-identifying individuals and have detrimental impacts when left untreated. Read our March book club pick to learn more about why ADHD continues to go unnoticed in women and girls, and the transformative impact of adequate supports and empowerment for neurodivergent experiences.

*Please note that experiences of childhood trauma, including sexual assault, and themes of self-harm, su***de, and substance use are mentioned in this book.

February 22nd is Human Trafficking Awareness Day in Canada.

Human trafficking is on the rise in Nova Scotia. It can happen to anyone, often involving coercion, control, exploitation and manipulation.

We believe that today is a day for awareness and unity with survivors. To end human trafficking, we must name it, provide accessible forms of education and open conversation, and we must believe survivors. 💜
