MOTOR MILESTONE MONDAY! A new series on our page!

This week’s motor milestone is 🥁🥁🥁… LATERAL HEAD RIGHTING

Lateral head righting is a reflex where babies try to keep their eyes level when they are tipped to the side 👀 This is expected around the 3️⃣ month age mark!

This reflex helps the body maintain ✅balance & ✅stability during movement, and symmetrical head righting side to side is a sign of symmetrical neck strength ⚖️!

If your baby is delayed in head righting, you notice a head tilt or asymmetrical head righting, read here ⬆️ about some tips & tricks to encourage it 🔑, and come to Kids Physio for an assessment and individualized treatment!

🎄 For the 5th year in a row, we are happy to support Zachary’s Gift, a supporter of the Toy Drive. 🎅

Zachary’s Gift was initiated in 2017 to honour the memory of Zachary Gordon Schneider. 💙

The mission of this initiative is to bring awareness to the issues of pregnancy, infant, and child loss through the gift of giving.

📍 Please drop your donations off at 303-385 Wilson St East during our regular clinic hours before December 16th.

🇨🇦 Remembrance Day 🇨🇦
 Today, we pause to honour and remember the brave individuals who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions. ❤️

We also pay tribute to the nurse masseuses (the pioneer physiotherapists) who courageously treated and rehabilitated injured soldiers during wartime. 💪 Their dedication and compassion laid the foundation for modern physiotherapy, allowing us to continue helping others move, play, and live fully today.

Our Story

Yes, just kids. Yes, just physio.

We were the first to provide this service in British Columbia, and are proud to have treated thousands of children of all ages and abilities over the past 10 years. Babies, kids, and teens function differently from adults, and our space and team are equipped to provide the highest quality physiotherapy care, delivered in an engaging way.

Our specialized equipment and treatments focus on improving mobility, strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, endurance, gross motor skills, cognition, motor planning, confidence, motivation, and more. With a large, experienced team we are able to provide custom programs based on each child’s distinct needs from birth to 18 years old.

Typically developing children with injuries, or those looking to extend or improve their athletic careers through pre-habilitation enjoy our open space, engaging equipment, and thoughtful treatment plans, while those with lifelong conditions benefit from the playfulness and our creative support to help them stay motivated in their rehabilitation journey.
