I am sure many of you have seen this photo over the weekend of Charlie Kirk’s wife saying good bye to him. God bless the Funeral Director that made this possible for her. 🙏🏻
Over the past few days we have had a number of funeral professionals send us this post. We wanted to share as we believe it is a powerful reminder of exactly what a funeral director does.

By no means is this a political post — this is a post about pride in what we do as funeral directors.
What the Kirk family is going through is unimaginable, and my heart truly hurts for them. But when I see this picture, I can’t help but feel pride in our profession. The healing that happens when a family has the chance to say goodbye… it matters more than words can explain.
I hear people say more and more often that viewings and funerals are a “waste of time and money.” But I couldn’t disagree more. Being able to see your loved one, to say goodbye is so important for healing.
Most of you saw the video of what happened to Charlie. As a funeral director, the pride I feel knowing that his wife had the chance to see him because of the skills we have, to say goodbye properly, is off the charts. That’s the heart of why we do what we do. ❤️
