We want to hear from you, our students!
Featuring this week, Dr. Elvira Prusaczyk. Department of psychology at St. F.X University.
What yoga posture do you feel most in your essence and why?
“Tadasana, or Mountain Pose, is the posture that makes me feel most like myself. When I soften and roll my shoulders back and down, engage my core, gently tuck my pelvis, and root through my legs, something shifts—I feel anchored, present, and purposeful all at once. My breath slows, and I reconnect with my body in a way that feels steady and intentional.
Tadasana brings me back to myself whenever I feel scattered, overwhelmed, or disconnected. There’s something so powerful about feeling strong and soft at the same time—grounded yet open, stable yet at ease. In a pose that looks like I’m simply standing still, I’m practicing how I want to move through the world: with openness instead of tension, and with a strong sense of purpose. It reminds me that these aren’t states I have to wait for—they’re ones I choose and return to again and again.”
