Allow being a feeling person.
That’s it. That’s the list.

I look up mental health and my overwhelm skyrockets with how-to-get-better lists. I know they are well meaning. I know some of them are legitimate useful tools. I’m however already maxed out just reading them.

I tap into myself and these truths I know:

I need to feel it for it to be released.
I can release it safely without burdening.
I am held by nature. I am a part of everything.

And today I allow myself to feel. That’s it. That’s the goal. Whatever that looks like. Listening to my body for cues of what it needs, of what I need, to feel supported as I let it all flow. Taking action to wards what feels good one step at a time.

Foot to ground time in nature for me is truly the most healing therapy. Thinking of what our feet endure and hold onto while supporting us on the daily makes me realize how much they need the release, too. Connecting to the earth is by far my feet’s most preferred way to release and recharge. What’s yours? Where are my fellow barefoot walkers at?!
