Antigonish Women's Resource Centre & Sexual Assault Services Association

Antigonish Women's Resource Centre & Sexual Assault Services Association The Antigonish Women’s Resource Centre (AWRC) is a feminist, community-based women's organization which opened in 1983.

SASA stands for Sexual Assault Services Association. Our centre advocates for the decision-making agency of diverse women, girls, Two-Spirit, trans and non-binary people and challenges all the societal barriers that undermine their choices, freedoms, gifts, and humanity. It is a woman friendly place to access information, to meet other women, to share knowledge, and to work on common interests and

for social change. It is a place to learn form each other and to contribute to building a healthy community. Please remember we are a scent free environment.

The Women’s Centre was pleased to welcome StFX students Connor Samson, Natalie Harker, and Marley Pickett, who stopped by with a generous donation from the residents of Bishop’s Hall.

The students organized the Bishop’s Ball, with all proceeds going to support the Centre and the important work it does in the community.

Also pictured are Reaghan Sylvester, GBV Prevention and Awareness Coordinator, and Anita Stewart, Executive Director.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved, with a special mention to Alessandro Daqui, Emily Richard, and Mary Nolan. Your generosity and kindness will make a meaningful difference in the lives of women in need.
