National Physicians' Day 2026
Though we're a a couple days late, we still want to take a moment to recognize National Physician Day, marked on Friday, May 1. The Arcola Family Health Clinic would like to express our appreciation to our physicians and health care providers for our dedication, compassion and commitment to patient care. Your efforts, especially in the face of ongoing health care challenges, do not go unnoticed. Thank you for the difference you make in our community!
We are also proud to recognize Dr. Amayo as he approaches his 10-year anniversary (October 16) with the Arcola Family Health Care team.
Over the past decade, Dr. Amayo has been more than a physician - he has been a steady presence, a source of stability, and often the calm during busy and challenging days. His commitment means a great deal to our staff, our Board, and our community.
Dr. Amayo is always willing to step up when needed, whether that means taking an extra shift to keep our ER doors open or mentoring physicians through the final stages of licensing, helping expand access and availability for our patients.
He is thoughtful, fair, honest and always focused on what is best for patients and staff. He has earned the respect and appreciation of many.
Dr. Amayo, thank you for the dedication, leadership, friendship and care. We are grateful you came to Arcola and chose to stay.
