I am an intuitive animal healer and communicator that specializes in alternative and holistic approaches to animal care for horses, dogs, and cats. Therapy Connection was created from a place of passion and purpose to help animals to become all that they can be. I have been a pet parent of horses, dogs and cats for over 40 years. Assisting animals in need has always been a priority for me. I have a diverse background and a complex skill set. I acquired a BSc. in Psychology, a BSc. in Rehabilitation Medicine in Occupational Therapy, and have been certified in TruTouch Therapy. For me, being intuitive means perceiving and experiencing the world in unique ways that go beyond the ordinary. I use several modalities to assist animals that are suffering from unresolved health issues such as arthritis, movement difficulties, emotional disturbances, joint pain, anxiety, and/or transition challenges. I can also assist with guidance on the use of specific nutrition, supplements, and natural remedies to provide support for true health tailored to your companion.

Meet Sasha from Ontario. This morning I completed a distant session for this beautiful being of light. Her mom reached out to me and wanted a communication session for Sasha. I explained that communication is one service that I offer among many others like emotional clearing, and physical alignment.

Barb thank you for entrusting me with assisting Sasha to be all that she can be!!! 🙏❤️🐈

Sasha and Barb, I look forward to our next connection.

Nemo’s Journey

Nemo is approximately 14 years old. He has always been a healthy cat, but as he’s grown older, he’s had some issues with his weight and had become quite skinny. He’s also had some skin issues and irritability. Most recently (approximately 7 months ago), Nemo was taken to the vet for his barbering. This was the first time we had ever heard of the term “barbering”. Nemo was extremely agitated and had been aggressively ripping out his fur and scratching his skin so intensely, that he was causing himself to bleed. Due to this, he had multiple visits to the vet. They were unsure as to what the problem was and sent him home with doses of steroids and painkillers, in hopes to fix the issue. Nothing was making a difference and after even more visits to the vet and more money spent on harmful drugs, we started to feel defeated and wondered if this was the beginning of the end for our little Nemo.
This is when I remembered a wonderful woman named “Nancy”, who had helped one of our other cats a few years back. I found her business card; delighted that I had kept it and quickly sent her an email, asking if she was still helping the fur babies of the world. Fast forward... Nancy came to visit Nemo, did a full assessment, gave suggestions and next steps on how to turn his health around. I followed her guide and did everything that was suggested. Nemo slowly started to heal. His wound eventually healed, he stopped scratching at his skin, he stopped ripping the fur from his body and finally, he had gained his weight back.
Nancy was the knowledge and light that Nemo had needed. She continues to amaze me with her insight and spiritual connection with our animals. I will forever give thanks to the love, encouragement, and guidance that she has given... both to me and to our fur babies.

I just got a message from a client that had booked an animal communication session with another individual prior to me seeing their cat and decided to keep the appointment anyway. Buddy told the communicator “Nancy is a very powerful animal healer. I am grateful she is working at a distance for me as any closer she would zap me”.

Buddy has cancer. I encapsulated it, neutralized it and deactivated it.
He is healing now 🙏❤️🐈

What beautiful confirmation of my skills 🙏❤️🐈

Thank you to both E and Buddy!

Thank you Heather for this amazing video. Bear has changed significantly since I first met him. He has been seizure free for a period of time now and is loving life. Best part he loves bum rubs and snuggles again as he is pain free.

Some very enlightening information.

Some very enlightening information.

Here are 15 interesting facts about horses' brain:

1. Horses' brain is relatively small compared to the size of their body and accounts for only about 0.1% of its total weight.
2. Despite their small size, horses have very complex brains, with a highly developed cerebral cortex, the part of the brain responsible for conscious thought, decision-making and memory.
3. Horses can learn and remember complex tasks, such as navigating a jump course or performing a dressage routine, through a process called associate learning.
4. Like humans, horses have a left hemisphere and a right hemisphere in the brain, each with specialized functions.
The left hemisphere is responsible for the processing of logical and analytical information, while the right hemisphere is more involved in emotional processing and creative thinking.
5. Horses have a great memory and can remember specific people, places and experiences for many years.
6. Horses can learn by observation and often they can acquire new behaviors and skills simply by observing other horses or humans.
7. Horses have a very sensitive sense of touch and can detect even the slightest pressure or movement on their skin. This helps them responding to subtle cues from your rider or guide.
8. Horses can process visual information very quickly and accurately, allowing them to avoid potential hazards and navigate their environment with ease.
9. Horses are social animals and rely on nonverbal communication to interact with other horses in their herd.
This communication is facilitated by the horse’s brain, which can interpret subtle changes in body language, facial expressions and vocalizations.
10. Ultimately, like all animals, horses have a unique personality and individual traits that are shaped by their experiences, genetics and environment—all of which is reflected in their brain function and behavior.
11. Horses have a very strong sense of smell and their odor bulb, which processes smells, is relatively large compared to other parts of their brain.
12. The brain, which is responsible for coordinating movement and balance, is also relatively large in horses. This is because horses must be able to move quickly and efficiently to escape predators or navigate through difficult terrain.
13. Horses have a very high pain threshold, which is believed to be related to how their brains process pain signals.
While this can be beneficial in some situations, it can also mean that horses may not show obvious signs of pain, making it harder for their caregivers to detect and treat underlying health issues.
14. The hippocampus, a part of the brain involved in learning and memory, is particularly well developed in horses.
This allows them to remember not only specific experiences, but also general concepts and patterns that they can apply to new situations.
15. Finally, studies have shown that horses, like other animals, are capable of experiencing emotions such as fear, happiness, and anger. These emotions are believed to be mediated by the limbic system, a group of interconnected brain structures that play a key role in regulating mood and behavior.
