Snapshots an incredible evening at the NAC 🥹

Last night’s Black Out Night experience was truly soul-soothing. From the moment I walked in, you could feel the care and the intention.

The BON Market was such a beautiful space with Black women-led businesses and organizations, stunning wares, and so much heart.

Then the evening floooooowed into COPPERBELT.
Whew. Chills.
Inspiring. Shocking. Funny. Layered. Honest. So well written.

Y’all showed up, leaned in, and held space right alongside the performers. Crowd energy unmatched. There were so many truths woven through that work and I’m still unpacking how it made me feel.

And let’s talk about BON Nuit the perfect wrap-up. A space to exhale, gather, laugh, debrief, and celebrate what we had just witnessed.

What made the night even more special: this was my son’s first show at the .cna

To experience this together, and then talk about it on the drive home all the way into this evening…tough conversations, big questions, deep reflections it was everything.

So much gratitude for nights like these, for the artists, the organizers, the community, and especially for the continued support of Black women in the arts, who keep creating spaces where we can feel, see ourselves, dream, and belong.

I’m so grateful for experiences like this that invite and remind us to show up.
