Whether you’re heading to the golf course or getting your hands dirty in the garden, we want to make sure your "spring start-up" doesn't end with a sudden tweak or strain.

Before you grab your clubs or your garden trowel, here’s a quick tip: Stop the long, static stretches and start dynamic activation! 🏃‍♂️💨

Holding a stretch while your muscles are still cold can actually increase your risk of injury. Instead, you want to wake up your body with movement that mimics what you’re about to do.

Try these dynamic moves for 30-60 seconds before you start:
✅ Large arm circles to prep the shoulders
✅ Gentle torso twists for spinal mobility
✅ Leg swings to loosen the hips

We know you’re itching to get back into the garden or hit the links, but before you dive in head-first, let’s talk about the "spring surge." After a quiet winter, jumping straight into heavy lifting or a full 18 holes can be a shock to your system.

To keep you moving better and feeling better this season, the ACHC team suggests these quick tips:

✅ Start with a 5-minute dynamic warm-up (think arm circles and gentle torso twists).
✅ Take frequent breaks: your garden isn't going anywhere!
✅ Listen to your body. If it pinches or pulls, it’s time to pause.
✅ Stay hydrated and check your posture while digging or swinging.
