We've seen over and over in this profession that grief is a unique journey for every individual. Right now, we are seeing 'collective grief' as we grieve together across the world,. However, it's best to remember that we still all experience grief in unique ways. Grief is both something that can bring people together as a common experience, but also can be isolating and lonely. This is a quote worth sharing by Becky Benson, "The problem with comparing grief is that by assigning our personal value system to someone else’s pain, we may undermine the validity of their grief."
