CBDC Restigouche received a Fergusson Foundation Community Grant for their project, Rooted in Respect: Culturally Safe Family Violence Services Through Two-Eyed Seeing. CBDC Restigouche

Created in partnership with Restigouche Family Services and Sacred Bundles Healing and Counselling Inc., and guided by Mi’gmaw practitioners and an Elder, training for family violence service providers will enhance culturally informed, collaborative care for Mi’gmaw women, Two Spirit, and gender-diverse individuals.

CBDC Restigouche a reçu une subvention communautaire de la Fondation Fergusson pour son projet intitulé « Enraciné dans le respect : des services de lutte contre la violence familiale adaptés à la culture grâce à une double perspective ».

Créée en partenariat avec Restigouche Family Services et Sacred Bundles Healing and Counselling Inc., et guidée par des praticiens Mi'gmaw et un aîné, la formation destinée aux prestataires de services de lutte contre la violence familiale permettra d'améliorer les soins collaboratifs et adaptés à la culture pour les femmes Mi'gmaw, les personnes bispirituelles et les personnes de genre divers.

Why should you wear pink tomorrow? 👉''In 2007, Berwick, Nova Scotia, after a new student at their school was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. David and Travis, two grade 12 students, had witnessed the scene and that night bought 75 pink shirts to give out and via social media encouraged their classmates to wear pink. The next day they arrived early to distribute the shirts. To their surprise, the majority of students arrived wearing something pink! With that act of kindness, Pink Shirt Day was born, raising awareness about the negative impacts of bullying and spreading kindness across Canada.''
