I am helping to cover 2 maternity leaves at Crescent Health Collective this winter. Two amazing chiropractors are currently home with their beautiful babies. Dr Danielle and I are working additional hours to fill the gaps while Dr Casey and Dr Jen are taking some well deserved time out of the office.

During this time, I will be in Barrie 3 days a week.
Mondays: 12-6pm
Wednesdays: 10-2pm
Fridays: 9-2pm

At my Aurora location, my shifts have been extended to give more options during the day and I have added hours on alternate Saturdays.
Tuesdays: 11:30-4:45pm **
Thursdays: 11:30-6:30pm**
Alt. Saturdays: 9am-12pm
** Paediatric Initial Appointment times are reserved at 11am. Please call the clinic or sent a DM to book. These time slots are not available for online booking.

Thank you to Lori Hendrickson for the great seminar focusing on the different ways to work with our youngest patients to address their concerns with fascial release and Cranial Sacral Therapy.
I am excited to add another tool to my toolkit to help paediatric patients feel comfortable in their bodies. 🥰
I love working with newborns and infants to help them get comfortable in their bodies and address their needs. Some babies need help to latch and feed well (on the breast or bottle), some need help getting comfortable in their grownups arms, some need help to be comfortable in their car seat. These are all subtle signs something is going on that can be addressed.

Welcome to the world baby girl!! ❤️❤️

Little miss Josephine came into the world in a hurry on August 2nd with the help of Wendy Wong of the North Don River Midwives.

We are happy to report that everyone is doing well and settling into this new life of a family of four.

While I’m out of the office, there are amazing chiropractors providing coverage for my maternity leave.

St John’s Active Care has Dr Casey Baker on Tuesday afternoons to focus on paediatric and perinatal patients and Dr Peyton Smith on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons for general population patients. Dr Smith is also an acupuncture provider.

Oona Wellness has Dr Pegah and Dr Fazia as in-house coverage for the paediatric and perinatal patients.

I will be out of the office for the next few months.

While I am away getting to know my new daughter and adjusting to being a mom of 2 🫣, I have selected the best providers to fill in for me.

At St John’s Active Care, I have 2 chiropractors providing coverage for me.
Dr Casey Baker is in on Tuesdays 1-5pm to focus on providing care for my youngest patients (the babies, toddlers and child age children), prenatal and postnatal patients. She is absolutely fantastic and I am so grateful that she is able to take time from her Barrie clinic to cover my maternity leave.

Dr Peyton Smith is an Aurora local that focuses on adults, seniors, athletes, weekend warriors and everyone in between. She is certified in Acupuncture, cupping, taping and chiropractic care. She will be starting at the end of August with hours on Tuesday 10-1pm, Thursday 12-6:30pm and one Saturday a month.

Online booking is available for both of these chiropractors through the St John’s Active Care website.

Earlier this week, I woke up to the best email that I can possibly get from a prenatal patient - the cancellation email for prenatal care with an awesome birth story! 🥰🥰🥰

I am so grateful to the pregnant people that trust in me and my skills as a perinatal chiropractor to help with their health and wellbeing during and after pregnancy.

This momma is happy, healthy and healing at home with her 2 babies (a new one and a toddler) and her partner. She is already thinking about her postpartum care and wellbeing. I am so excited for her future appointment that we will assess and see how I can support her in her healing process after pregnancy.

I am so grateful this is part of my job.

Saturdays are BACK!!

Thank you all for your patience as I came back from my maternity leave. I now have Saturdays available for booking again. It will be a shorter day for now, as we find this new work-life balance.

Paediatric Chiropractic Treatments are not something that people think about for the most part.
“What would a newborn need help with? They’re new to this world. “
This is a common misconception.
Infants are impacted by their positions in the womb as well as their delivery. This is more common in babies that:
🔸are a multiple
🔸spend the majority of the 3rd trimester in the same position 🔸had a prolonged pushing period (2+ hours)
🔸were breech
🔸needed assistance during delivery (forceps, vacuum, emergency c-section, epistomy)
🔸have difficulty latching on one breast compared to the other/ only takes a bottle in one position
🔸tongue ties are present
🔸painful latch
🔸doesn’t look one way
🔸Wellness Visit
…this is not an exhaustive list. There are many other concerns that will benefit from chiropractic care.

Chiropractic treatment for infants is safe, gentle and evidence-based. Treatment uses light, sustained pressure to get long lasting changes.
