Happy International Bat Day! 🦇
Beyond playing a critical role in our ecosystems, bats are incredibly unique:
• They use echolocation to “see” in the dark
• They’re the only flying mammals
• One bat can eat thousands of insects in a night
• They sleep upside down
• Some can live 30+ years

Here in Nova Scotia, we working closely with the public to keep an eye out for any surviving bats. This helps us locate bats for conservation and research efforts. If you see bats, report them at batconservation.ca. Need to speak to an expert? Call the Atlantic Canada Bat Hotline 1-833-434-2287 (BATS).

Ordering opens tomorrow (Friday) at 9 am and closes on Monday at 7pm for Wednesday 25th delivery.
For those of you who don't know, you can chose your wonderful Wolfville Farmers' Market products and they pack up a box and deliver to hubs for pick up in Berwick, Kentville, Wolfville, Canning, Sackville, Tantallon and multiple locations in Halifax and Dartmouth!
This is a new platform that they are launching so you may need to sign up again if you've already been a customer. It's worth it!

I'm lucky enough to be working with to host another herbal based workshop. This time we will be focusing on some plants that can be found in the forest, fields, marshes and gardens to help in first aid situations.
This offering is free thanks to funding from TD environment and through partnering with MTRI.

The last workshop booked up pretty quickly, so make sure to get on the list!
