🥳 You CAN have your cake and EAT it too!!!

😩The guilt you feel about eating a piece of cake because you “shouldn’t”, because you are on a diet, because you might gain weight, because you won’t be able to stop at one piece, or because you worry about what others will think, is all part of why you end up over eating and bingeing.

🎢And this guilt, shame, and disgust with yourself perpetuates the cycle of turning to food and binge-eating. This roller coaster ride is one you want to get off of for good.

🌿It’s not this simple… but life is too short to avoid cake and feel guilt and shame eating it!! Really, I mean it!! I only wish I knew it was possible and had the right support years ago… 🤦‍♀️

🤷‍♀️Recovering when I was in my late 30s is not ideal, but the truth is, I never thought it was possible for ME! So it’s actually amazing and I’m so grateful!

🔑Consistency and small realistic and manageable steps are KEY to change!! Rome wasn’t built in a day, right?!

🧚‍♀️ came to me wanting to feel better in her skin.

🕊Diane is an amazing life and relationship coach and has so much success with her clients! But she felt stuck in her health and that she was not living in alignment with what she wanted for herself.

🦋She was asking her clients to do their best and step into the best version of themselves, so she wanted to be sure she was doing the same.

🚴‍♀️When Diane came to me, she knew she had to move her body but she did not feeling motivated to do so. “I just don’t want to do it”. With her multiple sclerosis, it limited what she could do and how much which was another factor. So we took it one small and manageable step at a time…

🌻Within a few weeks of struggling to find the motivation, she had a breakthrough! She started to look at herself and her body differently. And her love for herself and movement has kept her consistent!

💪The work Diane put in to show up for herself was so empowering to watch as her coach! This in turn improved how she showed up in the world, how she showed up in her relationships, and how she showed up as a coach for her clients!

🙏Don’t give up… you will get there.. Focus on the next step, the next habit, the next win, the next mindset shift.

🕊Let go of unrealistic expectations, the need to “see” change immediately, and the need for things to be “perfect” or “right “otherwise it was a failure (all or none). Let it unfold in whatever way it was meant to happen, messy, the ups and downs, just DO NOT give up. Give the caterpillar time to become a butterfly 🦋

🖼Reframe the meaning of success. Your are successful because you got up this morning and fed the kids, because you got up this morning at all, and because you keep going.

🍕Do you like pizza? Do you eat pizza? Two different questions…

🙈I’ve always loved pizza but rarely ate it because it was “bad” for me; would make me gain weight (so I thought); and would increase my cravings for more. So I restricted pizza… unless I was in a cycle of binge-eating of course.

👂🏻Sound familiar??

🤤Restricting pizza and only longing for it made my cravings worse, increased my urge to binge, and left me thinking about pizza and food all of the time.

😉Want to know the good news?

You can eat pizza and be healthy.

You can eat pizza and lose weight.

You can eat pizza without a salad.

Now I eat pizza when I want it and I don’t obsess about it anymore! These single pizzas are sooo good from .

🌻 So hello...! It's been a little while... 😜

🌻 Thank goodness for spring as it has sprung! What a good time for a spring cleaning and a fresh start.

🌻I've taken a much needed break from a lot of things over the past few weeks. With working two jobs, working with my wonderful clients, coaching for myself, and trying to do "all the things", I found it all too much...

🌻I found it hard to let go but I worked on giving myself the grace and time I needed to take a break! And it went from "just one week", to two, and then a few... And that is perfectly ok!

🌻Interestingly, I noticed myself going to food this past week for some comfort which I hadn't noticed for a long long time. ... But in saying that ... the amazing thing was, it was DIFFERENT than the OLD me... I was so aware of it and knew that I was making a choice in every bite, that I was in control AND ...I enjoyed all of it! What a relief it was to know I have the tools and the mindset, and there was no starting over. It was just a funky week and that is perfectly ok! No shame or guilt. My focus is always EATING FOR ENERGY because that is EVERYTHING.

🌻 Are you feeling like you need a break or in a funk? I want you to know that it is ok to feel this way and it is ok to take a break! Self-care is not selfish, it is an ESSENTIAL part of your health and your ability to give and show up in your life and the lives of others.

🤩You have a CHOICE and it is true that the choices you make right now, today, can either take you closer or further away from where you want to go!

If you are struggling with binge-eating, emotional eating or overeating and don't like where things are headed... don't wait and let another year going by hoping that you will just figure it out.

👉Let me tell you, I tried that. I thought that if I could just stay on that diet or if I just never have sugar again, it will all be fine! It's your mind playing tricks on you. 🤩Do you want the changes in your health to be a short-term fix or a lifestyle?

😍If you are ready to change your health and your habits for good, then all you need to do is breakdown your goal in to bite size chunks. Be consistent and stay the course with those micor habits or goals.

Whether it is changing up your breakfast to a more filling and satifiying breakfast or whether it is making changes towards recovering from binge eating or emotional eating, focus only on the NEXT step. One foot in front of the other, keep going, and you WILL get there!

💪Don't give up! You GOT this!

➕My focus is that - instead of depriving and restricting yourself of certain foods to "try and stop" the emotional eating, overeating or binge-eating, is to focus on ADDING into your life, into your diet and into your mind. Feed you body, mind, and soul first!

🍗🥚🥦🍍🥥This mentality changed EVERYTHING for me and for my clients! So if you are like me, I used to know that I was going to binge or give in to the urge so I didn't bother eating regular meals. Because that would take away from the fulfillment of the BINGE.

⭐️But that set me up for failure... So it is super important to FUEL FIRST, don't worry about the binge-eating for a moment. Focus on fueling your body the RIGHT way with good healthy and balanced foods.

Yes!! REMEMBER this... we often turn to food to give us comfort, relieve an umcomfortable feeling or sensation in our body, to distract ourselves from what is really going...

I didn't realize this because it became so automatic to turn to food, which seemed great at the time because I could just avoid the pain altogether with a quick fix of chocolate covered almonds or eggies, some of my favs.

The truth is, we have a positive intention to comfort ourselves with food, alcohol, drugs, whatever your go to is, but we are actually abandonning ourselves!!!

Once you have this awareness and once you've made the decision that you NO LONGER want to abandon yourself, but rather love and treat yourself like the king or queen that you are...

Everything changes!!! I feel so grateful and blessed to have made this transformation! And I am so thrilled and passionate about supporting others to do the same, instead of staying stuck for one more month, year or decade.

My clients are experiencing such amazing personal and physical transformations, it is incredible so be a part of their journey!
