Staying fit and getting out helps us stay independent and healthy so it was great to see a solid turnout at the Drop-In Walking Program hosted by the Municipality of the County of Victoria, Nova Scotia and held at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. Chris welcomed us and gave us the lay of the land; walking poles and other assistive devices included! Colour coded cones showed the way for various routes; some with all the stairs and some with no stairs. Something for everyone!

I spy with my little eye..... something that tastes delicious! The Pan Cape Breton Food Hub Co-op graciously accommodated our late order for frozen pre-made meals to help bridge the gap for clients on stormy days. Thanks also to our community partners Knox Presbyterian and BOLD Seniors for engaging in community distribution and to Age Well at Home for funding!

As our Age Well at Home Project for Community Connections comes to a close, we are so grateful to the Community Partnerships established with this funding. We acknowledge the Iona Seniors Group, Washabuck Community Centre, Middle River Hall, Helping Hands South Of Smokey, BOLD Centre, Knox Presbyterian, St. Ann's Bay Health Centre, Boularderie Island Connected, North of Smokey Food Bank, St. Andrew's Vestry, and Bay St Lawrence Community Centre. Over the next two weeks, our funding will support community meals and food distribution via our essential community partners. Beyond this, our collaborations will support independence and effective distribution of supports to older adults in Victoria County.
