The North Peace Ride for the Disabled provides horseback riding for persons with a wide range of disabilities. We combine traditional instruction in horsemanship skills with concepts of physical therapy to improve the strength, balance and self-esteem of physically and developmentally delayed children and adults. To an individual with a disability, horseback riding takes them into a new, unexplore

d world which provides a sense of independence and freedom that defies their disability. Horseback riding challenges our riders in a way that they have seldom been challenged before - and they love every minute of it!

We sure enjoyed seeing everyone’s smiling faces at FSJ’s Annual Canada Day Parade today! We excitedly filled our accessible wagon with riders, families and volunteers, we led 2 of our horses showcasing our custom saddles, and we handed out candy! What was your favourite float in the parade today?!

Wow! Once again we are blown away by the meticulous craftsmanship of Bill Dyer! We asked if he would build us a 2nd Custom Saddle, and not only did he build one to suit the rider's needs, it is GORGEOUS! Thank you Bill, for helping us accommodate horse back rides for people that rely on wheelchairs to get around. Also thank you to Arctech Welding & Machining for the aluminum work!
