Hospice North Hastings is hiring through the Canada Summer Jobs Program for a 9 week Communications & Marketing Project supporting both Hospice North Hastings and Vintage on Hastings.

💼 Position: Communications & Marketing Assistant
📍 Location: Bancroft, ON
💲 Wage: $20/hour
🗓️ Duration: 9 weeks, Part-time (30 hours/week) (Spring/Summer 2026)

This is a hands-on opportunity to build real-world marketing experience while making a meaningful impact in your community.

What you’ll work on:
• Designing a branding kit for Hospice & Vintage on Hastings
• Creating social media templates and content
• Developing a newsletter format
• Supporting a website refresh plan
• Building a donor engagement package
• Connecting with local media (newspaper & radio)

Perfect for someone interested in:
Marketing • Communications • Graphic Design • Non-profit work • Social Media

You’ll leave this role with a professional portfolio of completed work and experience that makes a difference.

Hospice North Hastings is a place where people come for comfort, connection and care. A welcoming space that supports each person’s journey with compassion and honours every life with empathy and dignity.
This week from April 19th to 25th, we are shining the light on the incredible volunteers who are the heart of Hospice North Hastings.
💛 Our VOLUNTEERS are like GOLD! 💛
From our dedicated board members to our passionate community volunteers, each plays a vital role in making this care possible. They share their time, give their energy and are at the heart of everything we do.
Dedicated, compassionate and generous, they offer comfort with dignity and care across all our services.
They show up with a steady presence; supporting families, helping in our Residential House, working at Vintage on Hastings and lending a hand wherever needed.
You’ll find them in the moments that matter most, both seen and unseen bringing warmth, reassurance and connection to those who need it.
Because of our volunteers, individuals and families receive care, comfort and support during life’s most meaningful moments.
National Volunteer Week is one week but our gratitude is felt EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Tucked away like a hidden gem, our itty bitty hospice was designed to feel less like a facility and more like a home. From our spacious, welcoming kitchen where families can gather, share meals, and make memories… to our cozy bedrooms that offer comfort, peace, and privacy… every corner was created with love.

We believe hospice should feel like a home away from home- a place filled with warmth, compassion, and family. Here, there’s always space to sit together, laugh together, cry together, and simply be together.

Our size allows us to focus on what matters most: personal care, meaningful connections, and creating a comforting environment for both our residents and their loved ones.

We are so proud of the home-like atmosphere we’ve built — and so grateful to the families who allow us to walk alongside them during such important moments. 💕
