A huge shoutout to Tweed & Company Theatre for its cultural contributions to our community. Since arriving in Bancroft a few short years ago, Tweed & Co, a registered not for profit charity, has brought professional caliber, Award Winning shows to life on the stage of the Village Playhouse, for the enjoyment and benefit of residents and visitors alike.
Summer Camp programs for Children and Youth, along with performance and dance classes through the year, along with many community rooted special events, have provided a bounty of theatrical experiences for our residents to enjoy.

Their commitment to the community is remarkable as they provide the theatre space to multiple non-profit and community based groups each year, allowing these groups to grow and support the community further, in their beautiful venue.

If you would like to volunteer your time with Tweed & Co, are looking to purchase event tickets, wish to register for a class, or need more information, visit their website or page, or stop in to the box office.

FIRE BAN LIFTED!

Effective today August 29, 2025 the Fire Ban has been lifted in the Town of Bancroft


We will be returning to no daytime burning restrictions from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Small campfires will be permitted after 7 PM however, no brush or yard waste should be burnt.

Please continue to exercise caution when having a fire and extinguish your campfires.

Councilor Eastman, Councilor Lawrence and General Manager, Andra Kauffeldt were honoured to be in attendance at the announcement today with Indigenous Interprofessional Primary Care Team and Kijicho Manito Madaouskarini.

Ontario is investing $1,229,000 to expand the Tsi Kanonhkhwatsheriyo Indigenous Interprofessional Primary Care Team, adding a new site in Bancroft and strengthening services in Kingston and Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. This will connect up to 1,200 Indigenous community members to culturally safe, team-based primary care close to home.
