Heel pain holding you back? 👣
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It affects people who are on their feet for long periods or who increase their activity too quickly (like runners).
Chiropractic care can help by addressing problems in the feet, ankles, or even lower back that may contribute to excess strain on the plantar fascia. 🦶
Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) can make lifting your arm or reaching for something on a shelf difficult. This condition happens when the shoulder joint becomes stiff and inflamed. 💪
The good news is that studies show that adding midback adjustments to stretching and strengthening can speed up recovery, reduce pain, and improve shoulder movement!

Did you pull a hammy? 🦵
Hamstring strains are common with running. This is because the hamstrings must slow down the leg as it swings.
When it comes to prevention and returning to sport, the Nordic hamstring curl is the go-to exercise for helping strengthen the hamstrings. However, if the Nordic hamstring curl is too difficult, there are other exercises that we recommend to help!

As one of Barrhaven's longest serving Chiropractic clinic, I continually strive to achieve the highest standards of excellence in all aspects of patient care. This high-level of quality and service has helped me become the number one choice for many residents of Barrhaven and surrounding areas for Chiropractic care, and custom orthotics.
Originally from Trois-Rivières, QC, I have been in practice in Barrhaven since 1993. Over the past 25 years, I have continuously acquired further knowledge, skills and experience, but it is my passion for caring for people and my ultimate goal of restoring their optimal health that has fuelled my success and established me as a well-respected health care practitioner in my community.
Additionally, I hold positions with the Canadian Chiropractic Board of Examiners and the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. It has been very professionally fulfilling and gratifying to serve the Chiropractic profession outside the traditional clinic sense, all the while providing an opportunity for myself to continuously learn and remain the best Chiropractor I can be.
In addition to Chiropractic care, South Nepean Family Chiropractic also offers Massage Therapy. Our in house massage therapist is Angela Hopper.
Angela Hopper graduated from a 2200 hour program from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy with honours after completing an undergrad in Music from St. Francis Xavier University. She is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario as well as the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario.
Angela is passionate about providing comprehensive treatment plans that are attainable for her patients. She focuses on postural alignment, headache and migraine relief, correcting repetitive stress injuries, nerve entrapment, TMJ dysfunction, sports injuries, stress management and remedial exercise. She believes that people should not have to live in a state of chronic discomfort and through manual therapy and our health care team at South Nepean Family Chiropractic, we can get you on a path of relief!
