Author of Not Today, Frank! Practical, conversational support that fits real life. I support teens (13+), young adults, and parents through counselling and coaching focused on confidence, life skills, emotional regulation, and mental health. I’m also the author of Not Today, Frank! — a practical, relatable book that helps teens understand anxiety, confidence, and growing up without pressure or fluff. My work is conversational, supportive, and grounded in real life, offering families practical guidance that fits their schedules and what they’re navigating right now.

𝗠𝗬𝗧𝗛: Reassuring them over and over will calm their anxiety.

𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗛: Too much reassurance can accidentally feed anxiety.

𝐖𝐇𝐘:It may help for a moment, but it can stop a young person from learning how to tolerate uncertainty and trust themselves.

They might keep it together on the outside… inside, well that is a different story for some young people.

Like a clean sheet of paper slowly crumpling—self-doubt creeps in, confidence drops, and they start to pull back, carrying guilt and shame they don’t know how to sort through.

This is where I step in—helping them unpack it, rebuild, and find their way back to themselves.

Private Sessions and Youth Workshops Available.

I had one of those days where everything just felt off.
Overwhelming for no big reason—just just kept building.

Normally that’s where it spirals.

But I caught myself mid-day…
Took a breath, reset, and worked through it.

👉What actually matters here?
👉What can wait?
👉What am I making heavier than it needs to be?

That’s the kind of thinking I’m helping kids build.

These are the exact tools I’m teaching kids right now in private sessions and in my spring workshops.

Friendship is 𝐚 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐭.

Reading a room, joining a group, handling awkward moments, and recovering from rejection are not always natural. They are learned.

And when those skills are missing, young people don’t feel confident—they feel isolated, withdrawn, and left out.

💛 That’s a big part of what I focus on in my spring workshops—building real-life social confidence.

Soulful Sundays💛
Heading into this week, notice where you are saying "𝗬𝗘𝗦" out of guilt, not because you truly want to.

𝗘𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼.😮‍💨

Because protecting your energy is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝘂𝗱𝗲.

It’s how you take care of yourself so you can keep showing up.🫶

Have a good week everyone!

This is what overthinking looks like.🌀🌀🌀and it doesn’t stop 🛑on its own.

❌Staying in it keeps it spinning.
✅Stepping out—and facing the discomfort—is 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁!!

This is the kind of work I do with young people and parents in my spring workshops.

👉Stand up and do that presentation.
👉Go talk to new people and make friends.
👉Just put yourself out there!

We say it like it’s simple-but who is actually teaching them how to do this well?

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗔𝗣!
And it’s exactly what I teach. So young people can move through life with 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞—NOT held back by anxiety.

👉 Workshops for youth this spring + free parent workshops on anxiety now open for registration.

𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙢 is not always about "high standards."

👉It’s fear.
👉It’s pressure.
👉It’s a young person thinking,

🤔“If I don’t get this right… something’s wrong with me.”

That’s where 𝐀𝐍𝐗𝐈𝐄𝐓𝐘 can start to show up.🫣

What looks like “𝙩𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩”is often a person stuck—
overthinking, avoiding, or shutting down.

Give them the tools to handle that pressure…and you will start to see some change.

💛 That’s the work I do in my workshops.

We Believe in Making a Difference

The road of life for youth is full of pressures, expectations, and goals. With so much to do, youth spend almost all of their time trying to figure out which route to take, and how they can achieve their goals. It is hard to stay positive on a journey full of unexpected bumps and roadblocks.

Healthy Routes works with parents to help them empathize with their teens, and to navigate along with them through the complex adolescent years. Increasingly, issues related to screen time, virtual presence and digital footprints cause household conflict. Though teens can quickly become adept with the newest apps available on their devices, parents and guardians are often struggling to keep up. With that in mind, Healthy Routes offers workshops on how various social media platforms work and the dangers they present to our mental and emotional health, as well as other facets of our lives and our wellness.

Social Routes is the sister social media management company through which I keep in touch with the trends and changes taking place on some of today’s popular platforms. Most important, though, it is also where I work, in a small way, to make social media a place for communities to grow, rather than a breeding ground for negativity. You can also follow me on Social Routes (https://www.facebook.com/SocialRoutes/) for more information about this fresh approach to engagement for small businesses through the use of wellness principles.

In order to help youth reach their full potential in the 21st century, we also offer a series of life skills workshops to adolescents between the ages of 9 and 15. Our C *H*A*T SERIES (Confident, Happy, Assertive, Tween/teen). The goal of these workshops is to promote self-awareness, resiliency and a positive growth mindset. These workshops provide practical tools that can guide youth in managing conflict, toxic relationships, stress, as well as a healthy approach to screen time and online interactions.
