๐ŸŽŠWe are excited to be moving ahead with some important upgrades at our Barrhead Gas Bar! โ›ฝ New pumps will be installed next week, which will improve reliability and enable us to offer 24-hour fuelling, as well as tap-to-pay at the pumps.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Installation is scheduled for October 14 and 15.

All year long, we recognize team members who go above and beyond with EX Awardsโ€”celebrating excellent service in action. ๐ŸŒŸ Once a year, our Board selects one story to receive the EX Elite Award, representing the very best of what Co-op service can be. ๐Ÿ’™

This year, our Whitecourt team members Rhonda and Kayla (not pictured) earned the EX Elite Award for their outstanding efforts in assisting a mother who had accidentally locked her children in her vehicle. Their kindness, calm, and quick action turned a stressful situation into a shining example of what it means to care for our community. ๐Ÿ™Œ

At Pembina West Co-op, community is at the heart of everything we doโ€”and that includes the amazing people on our team. ๐Ÿ’™

To recognize all the volunteering our team members do, both at Co-op events and in the community, we launched a volunteer database where team members can record their hours. For every unpaid hour they give back, they earn an entry into a draw for a $500 donation to the non-profit of their choice! ๐ŸŒŸ

This quarter, from over 470 hours volunteered, we announced the winner live at our Team Celebration Event. Congratulations to Candace Keown, our Deli Manager, who is chosing to support the Barrhead Animal Rescue Society! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’™

Join your Mayerthorpe Food Team on Saturday, October 18th for our Annual Pumpkin Painting Event โ€“ Just for Kids! ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ๐ŸŽจ

๐Ÿ•’ 30-minute time slots available between 11 AM โ€“ 2 PM

Please note:

โšก๏ธ Weโ€™re excited to share that the Northern Alberta Lightning raised $705 at their Co-op BBQ last Friday! Thank you to everyone who came out to support the team and enjoy some good food.

Great service is all about noticing when someone needs a handโ€”and one of our Gas Bar team members did just that! Please join us in congratulating Kemper on receiving an Exceptional Service Award.

A customer recently called to share how impressed she was with the care and attention Kemper showed when he noticed her struggling to fill her tires with air. Without being asked, he offered his helpโ€”bringing her a tire gauge, showing her where to find the proper fill level on her vehicle, and assisting with the process until the job was done.

The customer was so touched by this act of kindness, noting how rare it is these days for someone to go out of their way to help. Thank you, Kemper, for representing our Co-op with such thoughtfulness and for making a difference in our customersโ€™ day!
